ABOUT PGA INSURANCE SERVICES

Poultry Insurance from People Who Know the Industry

PGA Insurance Services works with contract poultry growers -- and only contract poultry growers. That focus is the whole point.

Who We Are

Shaed Cates is a licensed Property & Casualty insurance producer with Alliant Insurance Services and the PGA Program specialist -- the day-to-day point of contact for quotes, builders risk certificates, lender paperwork, and coverage questions. His book is one kind of account: broiler, layer, and turkey growers who raise birds under contract with an integrator (the company that supplies the birds and feed and owns them under contract).

Russell Pawlowski is Regional Vice President of Alliant Insurance Services' Food & Ag Division and a Senior Producer on the PGA Program, with over 23 years of experience across commercial insurance placement and agricultural risk. He brings deep carrier relationships and program-level expertise to complex accounts. Russell provides senior depth on multi-farm operations, non-standard renewals, and structural questions that go beyond routine placement -- and he anchors the strategy behind how the PGA Program serves growers.

The two work as one team: Shaed runs the day-to-day of the PGA Program, Russell brings senior-level depth on structure, markets, and the accounts that need an experienced second set of hands. Every grower gets both.

The PGA Program is Alliant Insurance Services' dedicated poultry growers program -- built specifically for contract growers, backed by the resources of a nationally recognized specialty broker.

Why Two Producers

Most agencies give a poultry account to whoever answers the phone. The PGA Program gives it a specialist and a senior producer, on purpose:

A specialist who lives in the program

Shaed handles intake, indications, builders risk timelines, and lender paperwork every single day. When you call, you are talking to the person who will actually build your file -- usually the same day.

Senior depth behind every account

Russell has placed poultry business through more markets and more market cycles than most agents see in a career. Complex operations, multi-farm owners, tricky renewals -- that experience is behind every quote the program puts out.

That is not a backup arrangement. It is how a poultry-only program covers both the speed a grower needs and the depth a complicated account demands.

Why Poultry-Only Matters

A general farm insurance agent might handle a handful of poultry accounts alongside cattle operations, row crop farms, and everything else that comes through the door. Poultry houses have their own set of risks, their own construction types, and their own contract structures with integrators -- and the fine print in a poultry-specific policy reads differently than a generic farm policy.

When poultry accounts are the entire book of business, the fine print gets read the way a grower actually needs it read. Questions about house construction, integrator contracts, and equipment inside the house aren't a special case -- they're the normal case, every day.

Who We Serve

Contract poultry growers building new houses, buying existing operations, or looking to replace a policy that wasn't built with poultry in mind. Whether it's a first house going up on land that's been in the family for years, or a grower picking up an existing operation from a retiring owner, the starting point is the same: understand the houses, the contract, and the coverage gaps before quoting anything.

Service Area

PGA Insurance Services writes contract poultry growers nationwide, with the deepest roots in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Texas. Home base is Fayetteville, Arkansas. See where we work.
